Every family has a story.
When Alonso Cares learned about a mother of five whose husband had been deported, leaving her as the sole provider for their family, we knew we wanted to help. With the family facing the possibility of losing their home, we surprised her with $5,000 in emergency assistance.
But the support didn’t stop there. After learning just how close the family was to homelessness, Alonso Cares stepped in to cover a full year of rent, giving her and her children the stability and breathing room they needed to move forward.
